Welcome to YETI , VSU Online

Help keep young people safe by reporting incidents of Volatile Substance Use (VSU), commonly referred to as sniffing or chroming, by clicking the button below.

What is VSU?

VSU (sniffing or chroming) is the deliberate inhalation of common household and chemical products for the purpose of intoxication.

If you become aware of a VSU issue, please complete a report form providing as much information as you can. VSU issues may be: a young person or people participating in VSU, theft or attempted theft of inhalable products, or VSU paraphernalia such as empty deodorant cans, cut off bottles or rags / socks lying around.

Why report VSU?

Reporting VSU helps YETI and other organisations understand and respond to VSU trends and outbreaks as well as provide support to young people, families, service providers, contractors and retail businesses.

YETI provides information, resources and practical support to minimise risk of harm, reduce supply of volatile substances and build capacity of local organisations to address VSU. YETI currently undertakes this work in Far North Queensland and the Lower Gulf of Carpentaria.
